But whatever, I could deal with that. I am totally used to being the only person I know who sits through Empire Records every time it comes on TBS and who thinks it is one of the best movie ever made - after Star Wars and Dirty Dancing and Say Anything and Pretty Woman, of course. Oh, and Tremors and Twister.

I am content to keep the fact that I must watch the Miss American Pageant every single year without fail secret, even though I know it is degrading to women, and not a scholarship fund, considering no one bigger than a size ten ever gets into it.

I mean, I know these things about myself. It is just the way I am, and though I have tried to improve myself by watching award-winning movies such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Gladiator, I don't know, I just don't like them. Everybody dies at the end and besides if there's not dancing or explosions, it is very hard for me to pay attention.

So okay, I'm trying to accept these things about myself. They are just the way I am. Like, I am good at English class and not so good at Algebra. Whatever.

Summer : This is? This is your favorite spot?
Tom : Right here
Summer : How come?
Tom : I don't know. It's kinda hard to explain, I guess.

finally weekend!

I have to admit that even though it was inspiring and fun and boring and interesting and everything at the same time, I love my job right now. But sure I also love to make plans for weekend. I started it on Wednesday, my plans for weekend. Even more advanced, two weeks before the weekend.

And so, this weekend, my plan is to going out with friends from uni (and having a big big laugh for half a day though I should say that it started a bit rough) on Saturday and going to a book fair on Sunday (though I couldn't go with my friend like I had planned because the event wasn't as big as I predicted before) and I got a bonus for coming home earlier on Friday and bought a very interesting book by John Green : An Abundance of Katherines.

The book was super-highly recommended though maybe for most people the book may not be interesting because it contains math (and I think my brain had enough formula and sketches and graphs and papers and diagrams from my high school days) but it was a John Green's and he was like the wittiest writer ever (because I only read YA and fantasies, and so pardon my choice of reading and my claim because I don't read that much though I'm an avid reader).

And more books, yes because I went to the book fair.

An Abundance of Katherines (John Green) - Bad Kitty (Michele Jaffe) - Princess of Gossip (Sabrina Bryan and Julia DeVilles) - Rumah Cokelat and Sand  Castle (Sitta Karina)

Is it too much for a weekend? I think I have a supply for a full month considering my working hours. But anyway, isn't it joyful to have things to do, things to read just before you fall asleep?

I can't blame architecture for making me reading less books in the last 3 and a half years. Maybe even less than what I've read in a year when I was on high school. But anyway, It's sucks to realize that my speed on reading has become worse. When I usually finish a good book less in a day (for around 300 pages I think) now, I easily drifted off from the pages.

So, I decided to make a comeback on reading

This year, it will be nice if I can :

1. Read up to 40 titles minimum. Less is worse
2. Finish all the books that I started reading. Not that I can't read other books if I get bored, I just have to finish what I've started
3. Buy more books without thinking
4. Reading less romantic-genre

Maybe I will put some review here once in a while. And this is my list for February :

sejuta tahun setelah bukunya terbit dan akhirnya filmnya tayang dan teman-teman saya ngefans sama pemeran Alif Fikri (dan temen lain yang katanya mirip si pemeran itu) akhirnya saya baca bukunya juga. Negeri 5 Menara has been everywhere around me ever since the book published, cuma, entah kenapa, saya nggak punya keinginan untuk membacanya. Mungkin karena nggak tertarik sama latar belakang ceritanya yang pondok pesantren, atau pola ceritanya yang flashback setelah si tokoh utama sukses. Saya nggak tertarik untuk meminjam apalagi membeli meskipun buku keduanya sudah terbit dan teman-teman saya bilang bukunya bagus.

Sampai akhirnya, di tengah-tengah liburan panjang terakhir saya sebelum skripsi (insya Allah), bunda bawa bukunya pulang ke rumah. Karena nggak ada kerjaan dan buku yang saya beli sudah habis dibaca, akhirnya buku itu saya baca juga. Dan saya langsung merasa sedikit menyesal karena tidak membaca buku itu dari awal bukunya terbit.

Kata-kata di dalam buku menggugah saya. Yes, I'm an avid reader but I don't get inspired by the words on the book so often. Mungkin karena buku yang saya baca kebanyakan buku-buku cheesy dan fantasy, yang ada saya malah emotionally involved sama tokoh fiksinya.

Ini bagian yang paling saya suka dari bukunya :

"...katanya, kalau ingin sukses dan berprestasi dalam bidang apa pun, maka lakukanlah dengan prinsip 'saajtahidu fauqa mustawa al akhar'. Bahwa aku akan berjuang dengan usaha di atas rata-rata yang dilakukan orang lain. Fahimta. Ngerti, kan?"

"Iya, tapi itu kan biasa saja, semua kita tahu,"

"Aku sangat terkesan dengan prinsip ini. Coba renungkan lebih dalam untuk merasakan kekuatan prinsip sederhana ini. Ingatlah, sang juara dan orang sukses itu kan jauh lebih sedikit daripada yang tidak sukses. Apa sih yang membedakan sukses dan tidak? Belum tentu faktor pembeda itu otak yang lebih cemerlang, hapalan yang lebih kuat, badan yang lebih besar, dan orang tua yang lebih kaya. Tapi yang membedakan adalah usaha kita. selama kita banyak usaha dan bekerja keras di atas orang kebanyakan, maka otomatis kita akan menjadi juara. Lihatlah, berapa perbedaan antara juara satu lari 100 meter dunia? cuma 0,00 sekian detik dibanding saingannya. Berapa beda jarak juara renang dengan saingannya? Mungkin hanya satu ruas jari! Untuk juara hanya butuh sedikit lebih baik dengan orang kebanyakan!"

Percakapan antara Said dan Alif ini bikin saya berpikir, oh iya, ya. klise. tapi benar. benar sekali. Dari sini saya merasakan bagaimana orang-orang yang sukses di sekitar saya memang melakukan yang seperti itu, pulling all nighters, yang saya bener-bener nggak suka karena bikin pusing dan seringnya cuma merubah jam tidur. Mungkin saya kurang bertahan sedikit. Saya nggak pernah tau berapa jarak menuju berhasil karena saya selalu menghentikan diri saya sendiri sebelum bekerja di atas rata-rata kemampuan diri saya sendiri.

Masih banyak sebenarnya bagian yang saya sukai dari buku ini. Bahkan membaca kehidupan anak-anak di pesantren membuat saya ingin mengulangi masa SMA yang juga jauh dari orang tua dan dikelilingi dengan semangat yang hampir sama. Saya jadi tahu, bagian mana yang tidak saya optimalkan, dan bagian lain yang saya tidak mengerti maksudnya jaman SMA dulu. Pesan dari buku ini klise, tapi benar. Hal-hal yang tadinya saya abaikan karena saya anggap terlalu klise, tapi kemudian, setelah saya meluangkan waktu untuk membacanya, jadi terasa tidak sepele.

At the very end, walaupun pastinya sangat terlambat untuk menulis ini, this book is a highly recommended. Sebelum kuliah, sebelum lulus, masih sekolah, sudah lulus, sudah kerja, siapapun yang membacanya, menurut saya, buku ini bisa menyentuh dengan pesan-pesan sederhananya. Mungkin efeknya berbeda. Positif tapi berbeda.

Saya jadi ingin cepat-cepat membaca Ranah 3 Warna :)

 

The Hunger Games trilogy is the most thought-provoking, mind blowing, with the unhappiest happy ending story I have ever read. It is intense, and it doesn't even lose its charm after 3 books. I did think it was boring at the second book, but when I move to the second part of the book, I change my mind. Anthony Horowitz and Rick Riordan has not been exaggerating for their comment on the cover.

waktu SMA, gue beberapa kali mampir ke Palasari demi beli buku murah. Dengan keinginan baca yang segitunya dan uang jajan yang nggak terlalu mendukung plus tinggal nggak sama orang tua, Palasari yang semua bukunya didiskon jadi pilihan yang tepat, terutama karena setelah harga buku murah, kualitas juga bagus (kecuali sial dapet yang bajakan), pilihan bukunya cukuplaah... asal jangan cari yang aneh-aneh dan mau kuat nyarinya. Kalo mau nawar pun bisa, bahkan kalo harganya nggak cocok bisa pindah ke toko buku sebelah, siapa tahu harganya bisa jauh beda.

Sebelum kenal toko buku diskon di jalan Supratman, gue bisa dibilang nyari apa-apa di Palasari. Buku UN, buku teks buat pelajaran, novel, dan kawan-kawannya. Gue punya satu toko langganan, berhubung gue bukan orang yang hobi muter-muter demi nyari buku yang mau dibeli.

Kemarin, waktu nge-Bandung dadakan selama 3 hari 2 malam, eyang ngajakin ke Palasari buat beli beberapa buku. Setelah urusan eyang selesai, iseng, gue ngajakin eyang mampir untuk ngeliat toko langganan gue jaman dulu itu. Seneng banget deh, pas akhirnya bisa nemuin toko yang cuman satu petak nggak pake pintu itu. Ukurannya kayanya bahkan gak nyampe 3x2 meter. Di dalamnya penuh buku di rak-rak kayu sampe ke atas dan buku-buku yang nggak muat di rak ditumpuk begitu saja. Imagine you are in a small room only for two people (three at most) surrounded by hundreds of book. Semacam nggak bisa gerak kemana-mana karena liat ke kanan barisan buku liat ke kiri tumpukan buku. Ke belakang keluar, dan ke depan ke tempat bapak penjualnya duduk dan nyampulin buku.

and the simple happiness coming not only from visiting that specific place again, but also from the greetings. "Cari apa neng? Cari novel? Udah lama si neng gak ke sini,"

Gue yang pada awalnya entah kenapa nggak semangat meskipun ada di Bandung (the only destination I would beg for my holiday), jadi nggak bisa berenti senyum setelah masuk ke toko itu. Ternyata diingat sama orang itu efeknya bisa sedahsyat itu, ya? Rasanya gimanaaa gitu, padahal gue juga bukan orang yang dua puluh kali bulak-balik ke toko yang sama loh. Rasanya kunjungan gue ke sana bisa diitung jari, dan nggak semuanya beli juga.

Setelah liburan ini, kalau nanti ke Bandung lagi, tau banget bakalan kemana. Makasih ya, Pak, masing inget sama saya, that means a lot.

tau nggak rasanya punya penulis favorit yang kita udah tau pasti tulisannya bagus (cheesy but still... just don't complain about this strange taste of mine), pengen banget baca bukunya, pengen banget beli bukunya tapi covernya minta dicopot?

I don't mean anything actually, it's just... you know there's saying : Don't Judge a Book by its Cover. For me, when it comes to book, sometimes you have to know what you are doing with the cover. You really have to know what have you done to the cover. aaaaaa

I'm officially holiday now

so I went to the bookstore yesterday to buy some books. ceritanya menghapus kerinduan setelah lama-lama-lama-lama-lama-lama buanget gak beli buku, nyampe sana malah kalap. yah, seperti yang bisa diduga. gue bersyukur juga sebelumnya sempet nabung dulu jadi gak bawa uang banyak-banyak banget. kayanya nanti kalo gue punya uang sekoper yang gue beli toko bukunya.

I was looking for something that is not cheesy. romantic is total okay but I won't buy things that is so shallow and common. the thing is you can't and you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover though it's hard sometimes because most of the bookstore have no book sample. they display ONLY books covered in plastic wrap and it's sucks. I can't take a look through the pages to know whether the translator has a good style in translating import books or if the flow of the story is good enough for example.

so I depend only on my intuition.

tau deh kedengerannya kayak gue bukan mau beli buku tapi mau ngelakuin sesuatu yang aneh tanpa petunjuk. tapi bener loh, for me, it's a serious matter. waktu SMP, temen gue pernah bilang kalo gue punya feeling yang bagus when it comes to books. gue bisa beli hanya buku-buku yang worth to read, yang ceritanya enak dibaca, yang nggak cuman bagus kover doang. sejak temen gue ngomong gitu, gue beli beberapa buku yang bikin gue kesel (pelajaran : ignorance is bliss sometimes).

back again, so, for me, buying a book is a serious matter. it is almost like gambling (though I haven't doing a real gamble in a real life). it's like you spend some of your money for tickets to somewhere you never heard of. I'm not someone who travels a lot but still that sounds similar to me. Books makes me become a spy, a girl with lots of cousin, an introvert boy, a vampire, and even a magical girl. Books let me go around the world so it's almost the same as tickets to those who love to travel.

and yesterday, I was spending my money, thankfully, for good things.

Kira-kira setengah jam sejak gue masuk ke toko buku itu, gue udah mau beli kira-kira 11 judul buku. Dua buku karena sesuatu di dalam otak gue bilang kalo gue mau buku itu, 4 buku karena itu buku berseri yang udah pengen gue beli sejak lama-lama-lama banget (and unfortunately, the book store HAS it all), 4 buku berseri lain karena temen gue bilang itu buku yang lucu dan bagus, dan satu buku lagi karena itu buku impor dan harganya cuma 40.000 tapi lebih tebel dari buku harry potter (versi bloomsburry) 1 dan 2 dijadiin satu.

Yang paling susah adalah kalo ada buku yang begitu lo liat lo langsung pengen beli, if you really know what I mean. you just know that you have to buy it. it's not about the cover, it's just... something you can't explain, you just have to fetch it home! dengan perasaan kayak gitu, beli buku di toko buku yang harusnya cuma dateng-ngambil buku-pergi ke kasir-bayar-pulang dan bisa dilakukan dalam waktu kira-kira 1 jam bisa berubah jadi seharian.

I told my friend but I won't let her decide for me. Jadi gue puter-puter lagi, mikir-mikir lagi, ngitung-ngitung lagi, and end up with more books-to-but. ada satu serial science-fiction (2 buku) dan satu serial teenlit hantu-hantuan yang juga udah gue liat sejak lama (3 buku). see, going to a bookstore with not enough money to buy the whole book store is a DISASTER for me. I can't decide. I am a bad decision maker when I come to this, and I have a serious matter of impulsive-behavior when I can't decide. Fortunately, I have not bring enough money to buy all 16 books yesterday. So after 2 hours and a lot of take-it-and-put-it-back-to-place I ended up buying only three of them (and actually quite proud of it because I can do the elimination :))

saat ini gue udah selesai baca 2 buku berseri yang gue beli dan siap-siap untuk baca yang terakhir, maybe I will make a book review, it's been a long time now since my last review :). uaaaaaaaaaah i love reading so much.

anyway, happy holiday everyone :D

finally back again to the bookstore! kangen banget jalan-jalan ke toko buku. liat-liat buku harian, map gede warna-warni, alat tulis lucu-lucu, buku agenda 2011, novel-novel yang minta dibaca (meeeeen!) dan macem-macem stoples dan tempat-tempat kecil yang bikin gue bilang ke temen gue, "pengen beli nih! tapi sebenernya nggak perlu. tapi pengeeeen" dan akhirnya berhasil melawan keinginan buat beli ini itu yang nggak perlu.
kemaren akhirnya menambah jumlah novel :3 ga tahan jadi beli buku ini :

Now Alex glanced at the table. He noticed that it was set for three. “Who’s coming for supper?” he asked.
“I forgot to tell you.” Jack smiled. “We have a surprise guest.”
“Who?”
“You’ll find out when they get here.” She had barely spoken the words when the front doorbell rang. “That’s good timing,” she went on. “Why don’t you answer it?”
Alex noticed something strange in her eyes. It wasn’t like Jack to have secrets from him. He was still holding the piece of tomato. He tossed it back into the salad, swung himself down, and went out to the hall.
He could just make out a figure shimmering behind the mottled glass of the front door. Whoever it was had activated the automatic light on the porch. Alex threw open the door and stopped in complete surprise.
A young, dark-haired, and very attractive girl was standing there. The car that had dropped her off was just moving away. Alex was so stunned that it took him a minute to recognize her. Even then, he didn’t believe who it was.
“Sabina!” he exclaimed. The last time he had seen Sabina Pleasure, the two of them had been on Richmond Bridge on the river Thames when she had told him she was leaving for America. He had been convinced that he would never see her again.
That had been only a few months ago, but she looked completely different. She must be almost sixteen now. Her hair had grown longer, and her shape had changed. She looked wonderful in tight-fitting DKNY jeans and a soft cashmere jersey.
“Hi, Alex.” She stood where she was as if she were a little wary of him.
“What are you doing here?”
“Aren’t you glad to see me?”
“Of course I am. But . . .” Alex’s voice trailed off.
Sabina smiled. “That was my dad in the car. We’re visiting for Christmas. He’s over here writing a story for the paper. Something about some sort of weird church or something. He got me out of school early, and we’re going to stay over here until the new year.”

“Are you two going to come in?” Jack called from the kitchen. “Or would you like me to serve dinner in the street?”
There was a moment of awkwardness. Alex realized that he hadn’t even invited Sabina into the house. Worse than that, he was actually blocking the way. He stepped to one side to let her pass. She smiled a little nervously and stepped inside. But the doorway was narrow, and as she came in, he felt her briefly against him. Her hair brushed his cheek, and he smelled the perfume she was wearing. At that moment, he realized how glad he was to see her. It was as if everything was beginning all over again.
Now she was in the hall and he was the one outside.
“Sabina . . . ,” he began.
“Alex,” she said, “I’m freezing. Why don’t you shut the door?”
Alex smiled and closed the door, and the two of them went in.

means either I was just emotionally involved or Anthony Horowitz was just great.

Reading Maximum Ride and Harry Potter and even Percy Jackson have never made me so desperate. aduh gataulah. rasanya ga pengen lanjutin, I know that he was not going to die or that he would soon realize that he was doing the wrong thing to join this Scorpia. but still.

okay, enough about this Scorpia thing. Gue lagi baca buku kelima dan GEREGETAN BANGET! edan lah pengarangnya bikin gue geregetan. dan dia bikin hidupnya Alex Rider sooo miserable. KOK BISA? heran gue.

ada satu part yang bikin gue hampir pengen keluar dari kamar and go download the next book (soalnya bacanya pas udah mau tidur). Pas gue baca buku yang keempat, bagian akhirnya kayak gini :

"When do you go?" Alex asked.
"Tuesday." Sabina brushed something out of her eye and Alex wondered if it might have been a tear. But when she looked at him again, she was smiling. "Of course, we'll keep in touch," she said. "We can email. And you know you can always come out if you want a holiday."
"As long as it's not like the last one," Alex said.
"It'll be weird going to an American school..." Sabina broke off. "You were fantastic on the plane, Alex," she said suddenly. "I couldn't believe how brave you were. When Cray was telling you all those crazy things, you didn't even seem scared of him." She stopped. "Will you work for MI6 again?" she asked.
"No."
"Do you think they'll leave you alone?"
"I don't know, Sabina. It was my uncle's fault, really. He started all this years ago and now I'm stuck with it."
"I still feel ashamed about not believing you." Sabina sighed. "And I understand now what you must have been going through. They made me sign the Official Secrets Act. I'm not allowed to tell anyone about you." A pause. "I'll never forget you," she said. "I'll miss you, Sabina."
"But we'll see each other again. You can come toCalifornia. And I'll let you know if I'm ever in London ..."
"That's good."
She was lying. Somehow Alex knew that this was more than goodbye, that the two ofthem would never see each other again. There was no reason for it. That was just the way it was going to be.
She put her arms around him and kissed him.
"Goodbye, Alex," she said.
He watched her walk out of his life. Then he turned and followed the river, past theswans and off into the countryside. He didn't stop. Nor did he look back.

gila lah pas baca ini gue langsung A A A A A A I HATE ANTHONY HOROWITZ! dan sekarang he made him join this criminal organization.

hal yang paling menyebalkannya adalah, it seems like nobody read this series. ARGH! gue kayak marah-marah sendiri, kayak pas kemaren nonton Jerman Argentina (iya akhirnya gue nonton piala dunia) tiga temen gue dukung Argentina eh yang menang Jerman. nyehehehe. tapi kan Jerman kemaren menang woy, jadi paling nggak gue seneng gitu kan nah ini Alex Rider di ambang kematian dan nggak ada aja gitu yang mengertiii (temen-temen gue kalo ngeliat gue mulai cerita kayak : Stop, Fit. Stop!)

Hhhh...


I guess I am emotionally involved. And I have to remind myself that Alex Rider is a fictional character. OH MY, i got emotionally involved with such a fictional character.

dari daftar itu yang gue tau masa cuman the lord of the rings, sama to kill a mocking bird. beberapa judul rasanya udah diubah jadi film seperti gone with the wind sama watchmen (eh, iya kan?) dan ada juga yang kok kayak judul lagunya greenday? (the boulevard of broken dreams)

after all saya maklum kalau nggak kenal judulnya, soalnya semuanya novel bahasa inggris yang terbitnya dari tahun 1920-an sampe terakhir kalo ga salah 2005. hmm waktu tahun 2005 gue baru 14 tahun dan novel bahasa inggris yang gue baca baru the princess diaries sama harry potter 5 (itu belinya tahun 2003 dan kayanya baru selesai gue baca pas SMA -_-)

I will start the list by Harry Potter series

soalnya siapa yang nggak tau harry potter hahahahaahah gue baca harry potter dari SD sampe SMA ngulang lagi, nonton lagi filmnya, ngulang lagi, baca versi inggrisnya, dll. this series are quite phenomenal, even now. menurut gue, untuk mengisi liburan novel ini enak dibacanya, soalnya seru dan panjang. petualangannya mengejutkan dan beda dengan novel-novel lainnya. I personally love the series and I guess the last book was cool. Gue sedang mengira-ngira bagaimana rasanya baca buku ini langsung tujuh-tujuhnya. I was thinking about sitting on my bed with a pile of the series on my left and a cup of hot chocolate milk.

and then it goes to Twilight Saga

I love twilight, bukunya tapi bukan filmnya. walaupun sedikit nggak suka pas dilanjutin di new moon eclipse dan breaking dawn. tapi emang seru sih ceritanya. apalagi twilight dan breaking dawn. ya, breaking dawn juga seri terakhir yang cool menurut gue, jadi yaudahlah ya, just leave the movie alone and enjoy the books!

Hmm, setelah itu mungkin Lima Sekawan juga asik.

Lima Sekawan itu karangannya Enid Blyton dan adalah buku bacaan gue waktu SD semuanya ada 21 seri dan udah dicetak ulang dengan cover yang lebih oke =D. Walaupun bacaan waktu SD, tapi beberapa waktu yang lalu gue baca ulang itu Lima Sekawan punya sepupu gue dan masih bagus loh =D

Lalu mari kita membaca To Kill A Mocking Bird

Novel ini cuman gue baca sekali, pas SMA, minjem pula -_- padahal udah niat beli. It happened to be a great story. Dan satu-satunya novel yang sudah gue baca dan ada di listnya time.com. Tapi di luar itu ceritanya emang oke kok.

And after Percy we'll go to Alex Rider Series.

I'm currently reading it dan kayaknya baru ini novel yang bikin gue benci sama pengarangnya. So, Anthony Horowitz had decided to make Alex's life so miserable after the fourth book and I don't know what will happen next (I'm just reading some chapters from the fifth). Nah, gue menyimpulkan karena gue kesel sama pengarangnya, so it means either I was emotionally involved and the author was GREAT.

We'll go to Inheritance Trilogy then

tapi menurut kabar yang saya dengar ini bukan trilogi kayanya. Gue baca buku pertamanya, Eragon pas masih kelas 1 SMA kalo nggak salah dan sejak saat itu gue membuka diri pada novel-novel bergenre fantasi lainnya di luar Harry Potter tentu saja (karena Harry Potter itu all-time favorite!) belom baca buku kedua dan ketiganya sih, tapi udah lupa sama cerita buku pertama jadi sepertinya gue akan baca ulang lagi

Setelah itu ada Michaels Scott's book of Nicholas Flamel

baca buku pertamanya, the alchemyst, pas masih SMA dan sampe sekarang belom menemukan orang yang punya semua bukunya lengkap (buat dipinjem soalnya nggak tega beli buku mahal setelah kenal yang namanya sketch book dan drawing pen). Tapi ini seru bangets bangets bangets! not a real page turner, malahan ceritanya lelet gitu tapi okeeeee

And the last goes to Maximum Ride!

Pas SMA gue dan temen-temen sekelas baca ini. Seriously, kayanya cuman buku ini yang kita semua hampir sekelas tau ceritanya gimana karena bahkan sebelum bukunya dibeli sama yang punya pun kita udah ngantri minjem saking ramenya =D sayangnya, menurut gue buku keempatnya aneh dan sampe sekarang gue belom selesai baca buku kelimanya.

you knoow.. i've been fond of percy jackson series ever since I've read the first book. tapi gue udah selesai nih baca yang buku ke lima, and that was great great great. gue liat ada pre order bukunya di kaskus, yang bahasa inggris tentu saja dan ih waw, harganyaaaaaa okelah lebih murah daripada yang di toko buku pastinya. karena 5 paperbacks only 270 ribu padahal kalo beli di toko buku beneran 270 ribu paling banyak baru dapet 3 ya kan? belom pernah beli buku impor sih, tapi liat dengan mupeng sering -__-'' (dasar tukang download!)

jadi ya sebelum gue memutuskan menghabiskan uang segitu demi satu set percy jackson paperback gue memutuskan untuk membaca buku lain.

gue udah baca sampe bab berapaaa yaaa? gatau nih. tapi yang jelas ceritanya seru! gue sendiri baru sadar kalo gue menikmati cerita-cerita kayak gini. Kalo dipikir-pikir, selama ini gue menikmati juga nonton The Agent Cody Banks (bukan karena fakta bahwa yang main Frankie Muniz), Mission Impossible 3 (Bukan karena gue tau yang main Tom Cruise, hey call me dumb when it comes to the cast of a movie, gue bahkan gatau itu mission impossible pas lagi nonton), dan The Bourne Identity (walaupun cuman setengah).

Yah begitulah sekarang gue sedang menunggu apa yang akan dilakukan Alex Rider setelah dia nyaris mati ditembak senjata entah apa dan naik 4 wheel kawasaki 400 cc.
