unsaid but hopefully well written

But whatever, I could deal with that. I am totally used to being the only person I know who sits through Empire Records every time it comes on TBS and who thinks it is one of the best movie ever made - after Star Wars and Dirty Dancing and Say Anything and Pretty Woman, of course. Oh, and Tremors and Twister.

I am content to keep the fact that I must watch the Miss American Pageant every single year without fail secret, even though I know it is degrading to women, and not a scholarship fund, considering no one bigger than a size ten ever gets into it.

I mean, I know these things about myself. It is just the way I am, and though I have tried to improve myself by watching award-winning movies such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Gladiator, I don't know, I just don't like them. Everybody dies at the end and besides if there's not dancing or explosions, it is very hard for me to pay attention.

So okay, I'm trying to accept these things about myself. They are just the way I am. Like, I am good at English class and not so good at Algebra. Whatever.

Tom : This is my favorite spot
Summer : This is? This is your favorite spot?
Tom : Right here
Summer : How come?
Tom : I don't know. It's kinda hard to explain, I guess.

hey, I'll work on my HASHTAG NAIKCOMLINE but before that, here's new episodes I've been working on :)

notes (2) :
This is pure rambling

Do you really need to go? Gimana kalo uangnya habis di tengah jalan? Gimana kalo ditipu sama penduduk lokal? Gimana kalo ketinggalan pesawat? Gimana kalo nyasar? Dan lain-lain.

Pada akhirnya, jawaban dari 'do you really need to go?' itu sebenernya relatif untuk semua orang.

Ayolah Dhil, kita gembel aja. 2,5 juta 4 hari 3 malem,
Dhila : Singapur udah jadi kota termahal Fit sekarang. Ngalahin Tokyo,
Fitri : jadi lo mau nunggu sampe Singapur semahal apa lagi?

Perlu diketahui, saya adalah anak mager banyak wacana (AND I'M NOT PROUD AT ALL). Mager-mager pengen gitulah kira-kira.

Personally, for me, this is a verrrry new experience. Untuk anak yang ke Kebun Raya Bogor buat main aja males, going singapore is not a small deal. I don't know if there are people who will relate to me in this part. But for me, one thing that I hate the most about going is leaving. There are things I leave behind even when I only travel a small distance. There's this weird attachment I can't explain and I think I need to break that somehow.

Aside from the passport and the backpack, of course this is something to look forward to in the midst of hectic and overworked days. And as Ibn Battuta said,

See you in #2!

time flies and things change. yesterday, a kind-of-shocking news reach me. Not in a bad way, more in a good and exciting way. And that news open up my eyes wider. Boom. Things are not the same, not in 7 years, not in a blink of an eye.

yesterday, I watched an episode from How I Met Your Mother. You know, the episode when Robin left Don because he accept a job she had turned down because she was considering her relationship with him. Robin came to Ted's apartment, and she was like crying. And then, Ted said this :

But eventually overtime, we are all becoming our own doppelgangers. you know, completely different people just happen to look like us. five years ago, Robin, that girl, she's pretty great but Doppelganger Robin, she's amazing.

We are all becoming our own doppelganger overtime. It's been almost 7 years for me, and yes, it is going to change forever. The time we spent in high school will never be repeated, no matter how hard we try to redo it. I mean, being 20something and sitting in the exact chair, listening to the exact words from the same teacher  won't ever feel like going back to sixteen. And as the time goes by, the time we spent together might change its value. We may not do silly things like singing along the street singer on the way to curug last year. We won't talking about Kungfu Komang or Happy Tree Friends because finally we have something real to do.

But as Ted says to Robin, our doppelganger in 10 years to come might even more amazing.

And after all, I still listen to GooseHouse's Sky :

No tears no sorrow
Even if tomorrow turned away
And keep us apart
'Cause this is the sky you gave to me
Every rain give birth to grace
Some day our dreams bloom
We'll walk our own way
Then looking back, 'I'm alone' you may say
Hey don't you forget
We always share the sky
Always... I'm by your side

On my Ethnic Architecture class last Monday, my lecturer said something like this :

Without questioning, you can't go anywhere. Questions are start of something

We were talking about our paper back then and I found that someone has finally make that thought into a full sentence. Of course he might not be the first and that may not exactly how he said it. But I guess this one is my favorite version.

I should have watched TedTalks from a loooong time ago knowing that most of them are truly inspiring. This is from one I just watched by Benjamin Zander. click here to watch more.

"it's one of the characteristics of a leader that he not doubt for one moment, the capacity of the ppl he's leading to realize whatever he's dreaming. imagine if Nartin Luther King had said, "I have a dream. Of course I'm not sure they'll be up to it"

"So now, I have one last thought, which is that it really makes a difference what we say --the words that come out of our mouth. I learned this from a woman who survived Auschwitz, one of the rare survivors. She went to Auschwitz when she was 15 years old,and her brother was eight, and the parents were lost. And she told me this, she said, "We were in the train going to Auschwitz, and I looked down and saw my brother's shoes were missing. And I said, 'Why are you so stupid, can't you keep your things together for goodness' sake?' " The way an elder sister might speak to a younger brother.Unfortunately, it was the last thing she ever said to him, because she never saw him again. He did not survive. And so when she came out of Auschwitz, she made a vow. She told me this. She said, "I walked out of Auschwitz into life and I made a vow. And the vow was, I will never say anything that couldn't stand as the last thing I ever say." Now, can we do that? No. And we'll make ourselves wrong and others wrong. But it is a possibility to live into. Thank you."

So, I'm officially 12 hours away from my two weeks holiday ((mudah-mudahan)rumor. UI biasanya liburnya lama entah kenapa (rumornya) jadi cuman 2 minggu. halah udah gak pernah liburan 2 minggu doaaaang~)

mau ngerjain display dulu ya :)

mimpi itu buat diwujudkan loh, bukan jadi imajinasi doang

when you grow older, it feels like... knocking on a door you never know. Stepping into something so strange that you can't even imagine. Sometimes dreaming to go back where you don't have to find any reason why or face anything with thoughts on your head. Leading one cheerful and carefree life.

at times like these, I wish that I have taking faculty of medicine instead of this architecture school, listening to my mother's advice (based on her temporary addiction to Grey's Anatomy). I wish I know more about things. Maybe about how to read those scary-white-machine with digital screen showing colorful graphics. Or simply how to press my emotion down the surface so people won't know.

at times like these, I wish I had taken a picture with him, I wish I had spent more time to study so I can show him what have I done here in school. I wish I had spent more time listening to his words.

at times like these I cry after listening to a song without even feeling related to the song. I cry after I wash my face to hide the teary eye. I cry even by doing my assignment, thinking that I might not be able to told him that I have this done.

And at times like this, carpe diem, quam minimum credula posturo is not just a saying. It's a real thing. Big real thing.

Get well soon. I miss you. and I mean it.

"And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. (23:62)"

carpe diem. quam minimum credula postero

seize the day. putting as little trust as possible in the future

first thing in the morning.

I write on my facebook status : Carpe Diem :D

I have always love the quotation. Somehow it brings a kind of different feeling. Entah kenapa seru aja dengernya; to seize the day, to make the most of everything... part of it maybe because it was latin, though.

And then my friend post a comment : quam minimum credula postero

mikirnya langsung : wesssss cool men, dapet quotation baru, bahasanya latin pula. Yes, I have always have this strange interest to foreign language. Somehow it is always been cooler than my own native language (no offense)
dan ternyata artinya begini : seize the day. putting as little trust as possible in the future

to believe that tomorrow is never comes may be hard... no, it's sooo hard and no exception for that. we have this urge to always live the life and not preparing enough for tomorrow that may not come, as if it has always been a day away (yes, from tomorrow song).

jazakillah khoir ya, hanifa, for sharing the quotation :) loooove muah muah cupsss

that's when the words popped up in my mind, to dream is to achieve

because to dream is to achieve, there is just no other way

I don't lose the battle, will you?

be true to the heart is really not as easy as to build a bridge for today's presentation (pardon me for the randomness, just can't help mentioning the task here)

I was wandering on my tumblr and found this quote which strikes me real hard. Meanwhile, I was in an unusually deep conversation with someone via facebook chat. Yeah right, it's a lifetime learning process, thanks God somebody has realized about that first and shouting that out through a quote. but anyway, have you ever ask yourself this big question?

I haven't. And now that I ask that question to myself I automatically get an answer; I have never think about being true to my heart before...

be true before making a decision, that must be one lesson. Thanks for today anyway

yes, my favorite yellowcard, once again

real life ain't no fairytale somebody just thought I should know

after my last holiday I feel a lot happier and more excited about my third term, and also a bit sad about something.

if anybody asked me, when was your last cry? I would say it was this morning
if anybody asked me, why? then I would say that I don't know why, I just feel like crying and there I was burst into tears.

confusing, eh?

I don't think so. sometimes there are feelings, you don't know how to name it, that have to be going, you should let it out in any possible way, no matter how hard to describe what kind of feeling was that you have to let go.

and after letting go, it will feel easier to hold on to the real life. It will be much easier to say that real life ain't no fairy tale. It will be much easier to listen to the heart about what to do or not to do. It will be much easier to realize that it takes time to heal

"healing takes time honey.

posting super cepat sebelum ngampus

ngampus hari minggu? fuuuuuuh jangan tanya, belom kuliah pun minggu gue masuk, ntar pas kuliah gue kuliah kayak 8 hari seminggu. tapi seperti Rianti Cartwright pada Rumingkang "I like it!"

Never say never.

pertama kali dari novel Think, Tinka!, terus dari lagunya The Fray sama lagunya Justin Bieber featuring Jaden Smith yang jadi soundtracknya The Karate Kid dengan judul sama.

beneran Never Say Never.

Sebuah kebiasaan yang seharusnya nggak gue lakukan sering sering, karena, beneran deh, never say never.

Never say never to anything that doesn't suits you. You may be one of them, you may be doing the same, we never know what lies ahead, don't we?

ciao then! =D

hey heeeeey how's your holiday?

nyisa sebulan setengah lagi nih. dikurangin rapat-rapat jadi kira-kira sebulan lagi deh. hahaha, time FLIES when we're on a holiday, but they are walking slowly when I was like, waiting for my father to come home so I can watch the next episode of You're Beautiful, hahahaha

anyway, the new term is coming and I'm going to face an all-new challenge.

I was reading a random dialog from my favorite Alex Rider,

Alex : I can't
The Sergeant : I didn't hear that
Alex : I said I can't do it sir
The Sergeant : Can't isn't a word we use around here

yes, once you choose, once you take the responsibility, it's all yours to have. jangan jadi plin plan, the life you choose, the life He had written for you to live in is the best for you. you go for it and you get what you want

he had only one choice, and that was to continue

-alex rider

selamat liburan, anyway. but remember. you already have a new term waiting =D

Because you're my friend, Seaweed Brain. Anymore stupid question?

Go to Tartarus

Annabeth : Percy, we'll have to fight cyclops. Polyphemus, the worst of the Cyclopes. And there's only one place his islan could be. The Sea of Monsters
Percy : Where's that?
Annabeth : The Sea of Monsters. The same sea Odysseus sailed through, and Jason, and Aeneas, and all the others.
Percy : You mean the Mediterranean?
Annabeth : No. Well, yes... but no.
Percy : another straight answer. thanks.

Well then, Seaweed Brain. What are you waiting for?

Percy : Then why do the gods even let me live? It would be safer to kill me
Annabeth : You're right

Oh my gods, Percy! You are so hopeless

Me, Seaweed Brain

and the last one is my FAVORITE of all :

Take care, seaweed brain. Keep your eyes open

I'm not looking for any Percy Jackson in the real world so I could say this out loud to one specific person. I'm not pretending that I am Annabeth Chase, at least for now (but maybe, just maybe, I will after I finish the fifth book that is REALLY SOON). I just love her. I LOVE ANNABETH CHASE. RICK RIORDAN ROCKS!

Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood.

If you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now. Believe whatever lie your mom or dad told you about your birth, and try to lead a normal life.

Being a half-blood is dangerous. It's scary. Most of the time, it gets you killed in painful,
nasty ways.

If you're a normal kid, reading this because you think it's fiction, great. Read on. I envy you
for being able to believe that none of this ever happened.

But if you recognize yourself in these pages—if you feel something stirring inside—stop
reading immediately. You might be one of us. And once you know that, it's only a matter of time before they sense it too, and they'll come for you.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

dan ya, walaupun buat kebutuhan narasi tapi hal yang dilarang makin bikin pengen kan yaa biasanya hihihi. honestly this is only one thing about the book that makes me curious about the upcoming story. Again, I already watch the movie, so the story shouldn't be a surprise. In fact, it surprise me a lot.

Ceritanya berawal dari Percy Jackson, 12 tahun, yang disleksia dan ADHD, sekolah di Yancy Academy (a private school for troubled kids). He experienced some weird and wicked thing that finally reveal a fact that he is the son of Poseidon, one of the big three. a demigod.

To prove that it is wrong Percy was being sent to a quest along with her friend, Annabeth, a daughter of Athena and Grover, a satyr, his protector.

Along the quest they meet Medusa until Hades being in Santa Monica until the Underworld and finally go to Olympus.

It was indeed an interesting story from the first book.

Ever interested in Ancient Greek? Curious about Zeus, Athena, and even Hercules? You'll find out about ancient Greek in this book. I have no basic knowledge about it but the author, Rick Riordan explain it clearly between the story.

And this story is totally different from Harry Potter. There are half blood too in this book but when the pure blood witch thought that half blood is no good than them in Harry Potter, you'll find that Half Blood are heroes in this one. They have their own camp for training and special ability according to which god they belong to. sadly, as Poseidon said to Percy :

Still ... I am sorry you were born, child. I have brought you a hero's fate, and a hero's fate is never happy. It is never anything but tragic

Cerita Percy, Annabeth, dan Grover juga menarik karena mereka berbeda satu sama lain but have to work as a team. Together they finally pass the quest, the hard way.

This book is COOOOOOL! What more can I say? OUT NOW. hahahaha ngarep banget dibaca Rick Riordan review ini terus gue dikasih gratis buku-bukunya HAHAHAHAHA!

here's some great things from the book :

My mother can make me feel good just by walking into the room. Her eyes sparkle and change color in the light. Her smile is as warm as a quilt. She's got a few gray streaks mixed in with her long brown hair, but I never think of her as old. When she looks at me, it's like she's seeing all the good things about me, none of the bad - Percy

I stared across the meadow. There were groves of trees, a winding stream, acres of strawberries spread out under the blue sky. The valley was surrounded by rolling hills, and the tallest one, directly in front of us, was the one with the huge pine tree on top. Even that looked beautiful in the sunlight.
My mother was gone. The whole world should be black and cold. Nothing should look beautiful - Percy

Percy : So if the gods fight, will things line up the way they did with the Trojan War? Will it be Athena versus Poseidon?
Annabeth : I don't know what my mom will do. I just know I'll fight next to you.
Percy : Why?
Annabeth : Because you're my friend, Seaweed Brain. Any more stupid questions?

"Perseus. You did well, Perseus. Do not misunderstand me. Whatever else you do, know that you are mine. You are a true son of the Sea God." - Poseidon

I thought this post will be as long as the book if I don't stop here. hahahaha. Happy Readiiiing =D

i know, i post too much in a short time. tapi ini lagi UAS makanyaaa godaan untuk nulis justru lebih besar lagi. and yea, gue bukannya ngerjain tugas malah ngeiyain aja. ha ha ha. tapii untuk kali ini, i guess they need one post of their own. this is a movie review : THE GUARDIAN

ada yang udah nonton filmnya? it released on 2006, so you may have watched it.. or if you haven't well, you're facing A LONG HOLIDAY in two weeks why don't pay a visit to the nearest video ezy and borrow the dvd. it's a worth watching!

ceritanya tentang US Coast Guard (don't really sure about what is that actually, so read on here) yang main Kevin Costner (as the senior swimmer, the trainer) sama Ashton Kutcher (a young talented swimmer, former high school state swimming champion). pas awalnya gue ga tau itu ashton kutcher, and that makes the movie much more enjoyable. I prefer to know about the cast at the end of the movie because it makes me more focus on the story =D

well, what can I say about the movie. It wasn't a love story with a happy ending, it wasn't a fantasy kind with (of course) happy ending too, kinds I always love to watch. but the movie was GREAT. you should watch it you should watch it. words fail me (as they always do whenever I do my review =D)

the ending is perfect just watch and see it yourself

and here's some random quotation from imdb.com :

Fischer : i won't let go
Randall : i know
*favorite sceeeeeeeene!

"At 24 years old you have to become that miracle. You have to find a way to be that miracle"

"I swim as fast and as hard as I can, for as long as I can. And the sea takes the rest."

"22 is the number of people I lost, Jake. The only number I kept track of"

"There is a legend of a man who lives beneath the sea. He is a fisher of men, a last hope for all those who've been left behind. He is know as the Guardian"

"There will come a time when you have to decide who lives and who dies"

a a a a a a a a I'm in love with THE GUARDIAN

I love reading. I really do. But not much book making me soooo in love. one of those book is this one :

reading this book makes me know about something I never thought I would know. seperti fakta bahwa ada marga Efendi di Afrika Selatan, dan bahasa Swahili itu benar-benar ada (I used to see it as a joke from everyone, but now I think that it is a REAL language, not a silly one)

dan yaaa quotes quotes dimana-mana tentu saja. SAYA SUKA QUOTES! *dance

gue pribadi, sangat suka sama karakter Ucup =D apalagi bagian pas dia ngomong gini :

Gua udah grasslanding, evakuasi, disetrum, dan gay bar! Gua gak datang sejauh ini untuk menjadi Mr. See You Later!

YES I'M IN LOVE WITH THAT PAAAAAART!

so, for those who haven't read it yet. I highly recommended it TO YOOOOOOU!

happy long weekend =D
